A guided walk following the path of destruction as German Zeppelin LZ13 blasted and burned its away across the City of London on the night of 8-9 September 1915. This was the first effective air raid on the City and a landmark in the development of modern warfare.
On this walk led by Blue Badge Guide Mark King along the air-raid route, we will examine how Londoners dealt with this new form of warfare, its strategic purpose in the context of the ‘war to end all wars’, and visit sites that tell the stories of that fateful night.
